in a few years there’s gonna be some sort of diagnosis for trauma from the internet because so many of us got exposed to porn or some other horrific thing at a young age and nobody 20 years ago could have prepared us for how fucking damaging the internet is to our mental health

lesbophobes Source: telugus I started using the internet in the late 90’s and I tried so hard to avoid that stuff but still I ended up exposed to it because even the people you trust will send it to you to break you psychologically and it did traumatise me heavily

DO NOT ACCEPT WHAT YOU ARE TOLD BLINDLY!

Think for yourself. Question everything. If someone tells you something or talks about something you don’t know anything about or have very little experience with do not just accept their words as facts.

Do your own research. Go read personal stories. Study scientific journals/articles. Read up on current studies. Memorize the statistics and make sure you know what each number means and what the different variables represent.

Accepting something at face value just beacause someone who you regularly agree with said it makes you a sheep. Don’t be a sheep.

spencer-shayy Source: criticalandpissedoff agree also do the research anyway even if it’s something you already agree with it’s so easy to get swayed by false information if you don’t take a critical loom at your own beliefs
